Massage Sessions

There are a variety of different styles, types and techniques of massage. Below the list of sessions I offer, I’ve provided a description of some of the more popular and well known types of massage being used today.

Relaxing Massage

Relaxing Massage is a blend of swedish massage and other relaxing massage techniques. It releases tension and tiredness, stimulates circulation, gets your energy flowing, and just feels good. Through this massage, you can allow your system to rest deeply, and arise having been refreshed at the source inside you. Maneesha uses just exactly the pressure that feels great to you.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage may use deeper pressure, myofascial release, neuro-muscular trigger point therapy, stretches, intuitive touch and other techniques to release holding patterns in the tissue and muscles, increase range of motion, and restore the body to a more loose and natural state. The pressure used might be different for each person – deep enough to feel really good to you, without being painful.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands on bodywork that is not massage, but brings an extremely deep rest and healing to the nervous system. Its’ aim is to release traumas to the nervous system from injury, surgeries or physical and psychological shock, and tap into the body’s innate ability to heal itself. It is especially effective for headaches, pain, and spine or neck problems.

hot stone massage

Hot Stones Massage (La Stone)

La Stone massage is a wonderful massage using hot smooth river stones, so each stroke brings pressure as well as heat into the muscles, so they melt and relax. Tension is released, and the heat benefits the body system in many ways. In tight areas, hot and cool stones will be interspersed to reduce inflammation and relax the nervous system.
